Fit Icon: Sandra Bullock Workout
Although Sandra Bullock is in her mid-40′s, this Hollywood starlet looks more amazing every year. The most amazing thing is that she actually looks better as she ages, so she must have something going for her! That’s what makes her a Fit Icon for women of all ages.
Older women who look amazing are an inspiration because they make fitness a top priority as they age. Sandra Bullock’s fitness regime has a lot to be inspired by. She certainly makes growing older look graceful! If you checked out The Proposal, which she starred in with hunky Ryan Reynolds, you will see her toned, svelte physique which she keeps from being active.
Variety is the spice of life, and this is certainly the case when it comes to her workout. She incorporates many different exercises to keep herself from feeling bored. It is also a key point when trying to lose weight and tone muscles, which I mentioned in an earlier blog post.
Sandra Bullock is known to have long and well-defined legs that look really sexy in high heels.
Sissy Squats
This exercise targets the quads and is best done at the gym. This is because you need to stand shoulder-width apart and grasp a fixed bar, or support yourself with an arm at hip-level.
With your waist and hips straight, bend your knees and allow your body to fall backwards as your knees go forward. Allow your heels to be raised from the floor. Lower your body until your knees are almost fully flexed or near the floor before returning to your original position by extending your knees as your heels return back to the floor. Make sure that your waist and hips are kept straight towards the whole exercise, and knees should point at the same direction as your feet throughout the movements.
If you need to make this exercise easier, the movements can be made by placing your arms further down from your head. If you need to make it harder, you can make it more challenging by holding a small weight plate on your chest.

Wall Push-Ups
Wall push ups are a great way to build your shoulder blades’ weight resistance. You can use it with or without an exercise ball, but an exercise ball actually enhances the resistance which means you’ll get a better work out.
Put your fitness ball against a wall and hold it into places with your hands on the top of the ball, shoulder width apart. Form a 45 degree angle against the ball by sliding your feet backwards. Tighten your abs, spread your fingers apart, and push away from the ball so your arms are fully extended. As you push away from the ball, exhale. Hold your position for a second before lowering yourself back to the fitness ball. Then hold this position for 3 seconds before pushing up again. Make sure that your feet stay flat on the ground and that your body is straight as you push up and down. Repeat this exercise 10 times for 1 set.
Both of these exercises may sound tricky, but you know what? LOVE THE BURN!
