Satisfy your sweet tooth with fruit instead of ice cream this summer! Although fruit contains the natural sugar fructose, it has less calories, is high in water, good source of fiber, and it doesn’t raise your blood sugar levels like table sugar does. Stay away from high-caloric juices and reach for fresh fruit. Try to intake three servings of fresh fruit daily. According to studies completed by Obesity Reviews, eating fruit is associated with weighing less.

Fruit: Serving Size: Calories

Plum: 1 medium: 40

Watermelon: 1 cup: 50

Cantaloupe: 1 cup: 55

Strawberries: 10 Large: 58

Raspberries: 1 cup: 60

Grapes: 1 cup: 62

Yummy Fit Tip: Add fruit to 3/4 cup of 1% fat cottage cheese (122 calories) for a great snack loaded with 21 grams of protein!

    People should always monitor what they eat, especially sweets. The least we could do is break our bad eating habits. Replacing candies with fruits would is a good tip. =)
